No entry of dogs into the zoo
administrator | 27.01.2014
- Like 95% of zoos around the world, dogs are not allowed on the premises
- The reasons are mainly security, both with respect to the animals at the zoo and on the part of the dog’s owner
- Other reasons are: specifics of the exhibits at the zoo, unexpected and unpredictable responses from animals and humans, and animal health-care reasons
- This measure applies to other pets as well, such as cats, ferrets, etc.
Guide dogs are an exception. Although no entry charge will be levied, certain rules must be followed for their movement on the premises. Reporting visits with guide dogs in advance is not necessary.
